Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Garden
The Husband and I went to the Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This holiday lights display is pretty secular, but it got me in the Christmas spirit nonetheless. The settings were beautiful and music was played throughout. Many of the displays were timed to the music.
One of the best things about Thanksgiving is the turkey leftovers! Usually we go to my sister’s house for Thanksgiving. (We didn’t this year because of the pandemic.) But I still cook a turkey, because there are so many great ways to use excess turkey!
We Are Not All in the Same Boat, But We Are in the Same Storm

Freezer Meals Recipe: No Boil Mac n Cheese
We make Mac n Cheese pretty often for our freezer meals outreach. This one is very kid friendly and also meatless for Lent. Although this might not be the healthiest dish in the world. 🙂 But these meals are for people who are stressed and need a little extra love. So sometimes we provide that in the form of Mac n Cheese.
Trip to the Top of the Gateway Arch at Night
I finally went through my footage of our trip to the Gateway Arch from Thanksgiving and I put together some highlights in this video. It was a somewhat rainy day, but we still had some amazing views of downtown St. Louis from the top. This is the first time I have been up in the Arch at night and it did not disappoint.
Freezer Meals Outreach
We had a freezer meals cook night last night. What is that? Well about 10 of us got together and made meals and froze them. Then when anyone from the parish knows somebody who needs a little care – somebody going through cancer treatment, or just had a death in the family, or a mom of little ones whose husband is out of town, or somebody who just had a baby, or the elderly shut-in neighbor – they can come by and get a meal and deliver it to them.
