Forget not that the Earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. – Khalil Gibran
As the warmer weather starts to fade away, I still like to feel the grass beneath my feet and the wind in my hair.
I do a daily walk to church every morning, even when it is very cold. But these autumn days are especially nice. There is a little bite to the breeze in the morning.
In the afternoon, when I go out to get the mail, I still like to be barefoot. There is something about the feel of my feet directly on the ground which is really comforting and satisfying. I miss that when the weather becomes so cold that I must always have shoes on when I am outside.
I enjoy the “feel” of nature. To me, it is like God gently inviting me to look around and appreciate the everyday beauty.
